The City of Alexandria Honors Engin Artemel

Engin Artemel is the former Planning Director for the City of Alexandria and on June 9, 2016, the city dedicated a plaque to him at the waterfront.

 While I'm not a photojournalist, a dear friend of my mom's asked me to photograph a dedication ceremony for her father, Engin Artemel. He was the Planning Director of the City of Alexandria during a significant time (1974-1984). With his help and knowledge, the Alexandria waterfront went from an industrial area to what it is now.
