I get asked all the time if I barter or trade services and the answer is YES!

Investing in a Hampton Roads birth photographer is just like investing in wedding photography. It’s one of the biggest days of your life and you won’t ever get that moment back, so go big or go home, right!? People often wonder what goes in to birth photography pricing. Well, let me tell you…. :-)

I have a degree in photography, so I am skilled in my profession. I can be on-call for up to 5 weeks! That’s right! FIVE WEEKS. That means, I have to drop whatever I’m doing when I get the call. I do not travel during that time and I also have to have child care in place. I have missed holidays and birthdays. And because birth is birth and is not predictable, that call can come whenever! I’ve been called in the middle of the night, I’ve been at births for well over 12 hours, and I’ve also showed up when it’s prodromal labor. After the birth, comes the hours of editing. All of this is just part of being a Hampton Roads birth and family photographer.
