Grayson's Story

Reston, VA

I always feel like my clients are long lost friends. Like we were always meant to meet. So many friendships have blossomed from our sessions and I'm so lucky and thankful for that. Brooke is no different.

From the moment I received the email from Brooke inquiring about birth photography services, I felt a connection. (It is very important to feel connected to your photographer, especially with something as intimate as a birth.) As we emailed and texted back and forth over the next few months, it was no shock that when I met her family, I felt equally connected. 

Brooke was induced at 41 weeks with barely any signs of labor. When I arrived at Reston Hospital Center, I was warmly greeted by her family. They had me laughing until my stomach and face hurt! Her mother-in-law made the cutest cookies and they handed them out to visitors and staff. I even had a cookie bouquet made for me!

After several hours of labor, doc felt it was in baby's best interest to have a c-section. We all waited with anticipation to meet Grayson. He was worth the wait!

I am beyond excited to see Grayson and his parents again to deliver their birth story and a special gift!
